Ferrari Testarossa "Monospecchio - Monodado" :The Ferrari Testarossa "Monospecchio" ("single mirror") refers to the early, highly collectible production run of the iconic 1980s supercar (produced from 1984 to 1986).
The most distinctive trait is the single, high-mounted driver’s-side mirror located halfway up the A-pillar. Most "Monospecchio" versions are also "Monodado" versions, featuring 16-inch magnesium wheels with a single center lock instead of the later five-bolt pattern. This race-inspired detail was removed in 1988.
The Testarossa was designed by Pininfarina to improve upon the Ferrari 512 BBi.
A total of 570 examples were produced in 1985 and 820 in 1986.
The Testarossa "Monospecchio" is considered the "purest" version of the Testarossa. In 1987, Ferrari switched to standard dual door-mounted mirrors due to changing safety regulations, making these early "Monospecchio" examples much rarer and more desirable.
