1973 Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 Manual
The Jaguar E-Type is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, and what makes this one even cooler is its impressive 5.3L V12 engine. The E-Type Series 3 was introduced in 1971, with a new 5.3 L Jaguar V12 engine, uprated brakes and standard power steering. The V12 was equipped with four Zenith carburettors, and as introduced produced a claimed 272 hp, more torque, and a 060 mph acceleration of less than seven seconds. She does not hang around.
Finished in its original shade of Signal Red and paired with a beige interior, she is very recognizable as a classic British roadster. She truly does have class and style that is difficult to match. And our favourite part has to be the optional chrome wire wheels with centre lock. She has never been restored but she has been partially repainted in her lifetime in her original colour. Being a classic British car she comes with the expected patina, which you will forgive her for. Inside you will find an original beige leather interior in great condition, with the matching floor mats. And what really stands out in her interior is the manual gearshifter and original steering wheel.
Mechanically, she’s ready for many great road trips. Her 4 speed gearbox is a smooth shifting example that offers refined yet sporty gear changes. Many come with automatics which makes this manual example a fun change. Her 5.3L V12 engine runs excellently and makes the noise of a true Jaguar. And with 270 bhp she will easily leave modern cars behind. Just wait until you drive her through the Alps on a lovely summer’s day. Her power assisted steering is a true blessing for a classic car. To make her ready for the next roadtrip, we have overhauled the braking system and given her a fresh service. She runs and drives beautifully, guaranteed to put a smile on your face every time you take her out.
