A beautifully presented Triumph TR6 offered in highly desirable matching numbers specification, as confirmed by its British Heritage Certificate. Originally delivered to the United States, this example found its way to Belgium around 2010 via the Netherlands, and has since passed through only a handful of caring owners (2016 and most recently 2024). It is now reluctantly offered for sale due to a bereavement.
While its earliest history is not documented, the car clearly benefited from careful maintenance and restoration in the past. The paintwork presents very well, with only light signs of use, while the interior remains in excellent condition with clean, well-preserved upholstery. The brightwork is equally impressive, with chrome elements that shine beautifully and enhance the car’s classic lines.
This TR6 retains its original character as a US-delivered car but has been thoughtfully improved for a more engaging driving experience. The carburettor setup has been upgraded to SU carburettors from the standard US specification Stromberg’s to enhance performance, while an electronic ignition system ensures reliability and consistent spark.
Mechanically, the car has recently undergone a comprehensive service, including replacement of ignition components such as coil, spark plugs, and leads. The gearbox mount has also been renewed, contributing to the smooth and refined driving experience.
On the road, this TR6 starts readily, shifts effortlessly, and delivers exactly what one expects from a classic British roadster: charm, character, and enjoyable performance. Registered in Belgium and ready to drive, it is the perfect companion for summer cruising or even a memorable road trip back to its homelandperhaps a scenic journey to England.
