The Ferrari F355 is the last fully hand-built Ferrari and simultaneously the first to fully embrace modern technology. The 3.5 litre naturally aspirated V8 has five valves per cylinder, a concept taken directly from Ferrari's F1 engine programme of the period. That produced 380 ps at 8,500 rpm and the highest specific power output of any naturally aspirated production car in the world at the time, McLaren F1 included. The GTS has a removable hardtop roof that stows behind the seats.
This example is finished in Rosso Corsa, delivered in July 1996, and is an M5.2 Motronic car with a smoother throttle response and a more refined idle than the early M2.7 examples. The first owner had the car maintained at Michelotto in Padova, the Ferrari-specialist race team that developed and built the F355 Challenge race car. The belts were renewed in 2012 by Zeta Service in Modena. Since then the car has been maintained in Belgium, most recently in 2023 at Service Francorchamps.
Fun fact: the flying buttresses at the rear of the GTS are the last Ferrari production model to feature this styling element. Pininfarina first used them on the Dino 206 GT in 1967.

De Ferrari F355 is de laatste volledig handgebouwde Ferrari en tegelijk de eerste die moderne technologie ten volle omarmde. De 3,5 liter atmosferische V8 heeft vijf kleppen per cilinder, een concept rechtstreeks ontleend aan Ferrari's F1 motorprogramma van die periode. Dat leverde 380 pk bij 8.500 toeren en de hoogste specifieke vermogensoutput van elke atmosferische productieauto ter wereld op dat moment, de McLaren F1 inbegrepen. De GTS heeft een verwijderbaar hardtop dak dat achter de stoelen past.
Dit exemplaar staat in Rosso Corsa, werd geleverd in juli 1996 en is een M5.2 Motronic auto met een vlottere gasrespons en een soepelere loopkarakter dan de vroege M2.7 exemplaren. De eerste eigenaar liet de wagen onderhouden bij Michelotto in Padova, het Ferrari-gespecialiseerde raceteam dat de F355 Challenge racewagen ontwikkelde en bouwde. De riemen werden in 2012 vernieuwd door Zeta Service in Modena. Sindsdien werd de wagen in België onderhouden, meest recent in 2023 bij Service Francorchamps.
Leuk detail: de vliegende steunberen achteraan de GTS zijn het laatste Ferrari productiemodel waarop dit stijlelement werd toegepast. Pininfarina gebruikte ze voor het eerst op de Dino 206 GT in 1967.

Cet exemplaire est peint en Rosso Corsa, livré en juillet 1996, et est une voiture M5.2 Motronic avec une réponse à l'accélérateur plus souple et un ralenti plus raffiné que les premiers exemplaires M2.7. Le premier propriétaire faisait entretenir la voiture chez Michelotto à Padoue, l'équipe de course spécialisée Ferrari qui a développé et construit la voiture de course F355 Challenge. Les courroies ont été renouvelées en 2012 par Zeta Service à Modène. Depuis lors, la voiture a été entretenue en Belgique, plus récemment en 2023 chez Service Francorchamps.
Anecdote: les contreforts volants à l'arrière de la GTS font de ce modèle le dernier Ferrari de production à arborer cet élément stylistique. Pininfarina les avait utilisés pour la première fois sur la Dino 206 GT en 1967.
