Offered for sale is an exceptional 1973 Kawasaki Z1 900, built in November 1972, with matching numbers and restored to an outstanding standard.
The Kawasaki Z1 is widely regarded as one of the most important superbikes ever built. Introduced in 1972, the Z1 changed the motorcycle world forever with its revolutionary 903cc DOHC four-cylinder engine, breathtaking performance, and unmistakable styling. It became the machine that established Kawasaki as a dominant force in the superbike era and remains one of the most collectible Japanese motorcycles today.
This particular example has undergone a complete “nut and bolt” restoration, carried out with great attention to originality and detail. Extensive photo documentation of the entire restoration process is available.

The engine itself was intentionally left unopened after excellent compression and leak-down test results. The philosophy was simple: if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. As a result, the bike retains its strong original character while running beautifully. The motorcycle starts easily, runs perfectly, and uses no oil.
The only upgrades made for reliability and usability are:

The underside of exhaust pipe no.1 has a small scar, invisible from normal viewing angles.
