CRD11 “Black Cream” — 1980 Honda CB750 Custom by Cafe Racer Dreams
A one-off custom hand-built by Cafe Racer Dreams in Madrid — the shop whose CB750 work earned a following through Bike EXIF. Originally commissioned new from CRD, “Black Cream” started life as a 1980 Honda CB750kz and was reborn as a four-cylinder scrambler in CRD’s signature blacked-out, stripped-back style, finished in cream over black. This isn’t a parts-bin café racer; it’s roughly twelve weeks of bespoke fabrication.
The air-cooled inline-four runs Keihin carbs with a power filter into a custom CRD exhaust. Hagon shocks sit out back, with the original Showa forks wrapped and the bellows finished in black. The cockpit is all intent — Renthal Ultra Low bars sleeved in black neoprene, enduro-style switchgear, Amal grips, and a discreet Motogadget Motoscope Tiny keeping the front end clean. Details set it apart: a hand-formed aluminium battery box, the ignition and choke relocated into the tank, and a simplified loom. It rolls on Firestone Military tyres with a grille headlight up front and a CRD two-seater subframe topped with a leather seat. Equal parts garage art and genuine rider.
