2015 Land Rover Defender 130 with the Puma 2.2L 4 cylinder producing 122 bhp
The Land Rover car design takes us back to a beach in Wales, just after WW2. The very beginning of Land Rover itself is the fabled story of brothers Maurice and Spencer Wilks, sketching out the simple design of what would become an enduring and iconic classic 4WD vehicle. A simple design, because times were hard. Cause, well, the war. Materials, even the most basic ones, were hard to come by. Remind anyone of this past year?
Hard times require a vehicle that is tough as nails. But with a dash of fun thrown in. Like this Defender 110 with the factory delivered V8. Ready to tear up the nearest dirt road or a quick jaunt into town. Yes, even in winter. This is after all a car for hard men/women/people. However you identify, you can find yourself in this beautiful beast. Coping with hard times and having some fun doing it is in its bones. 73 years after its conception it is relevant as ever. Even if you don’t want to go hauling livestock. You can always drive it to the next Woodstock.
This iconic example which we are presenting here today, is quite a special one. Not only is she a 5 door 130 with an aluminium ambulance rear, but she has been cosmetically upgraded by Kahn in the UK. You will immediately be taken in by her all white Kahn bodywork finished with a stunning set of custom Kahn wheels. To give her an extra rugged look, a full external roll cage has been fitted with a rear mounted winch to get you out of any situation. And if you go off-roading at night, the lightbar will light up the whole valley.
When you open her door you will find a custom interior finished in a soft black leather with contrasting red stitching and a classic fabric thrown in the mix.. This not only gives her a sporty feeling but reminds you that you are driving something special. Also, the dials have been changed to red dials which look extra cool. Kahn also brought her stunning white paint into the interior by painting her dashboard white. And for extra comfort, aftermarket cruise control has been fitted.
Mechanically she is ready for many more fun miles. She is powered by a Puma 2.2 Turbo Diesel engine which will get you out of almost any situation. Her turbo has been replaced by us, so the new owner does not have the worry about this. We will give her a check and replace the necessary fluids before she leaves to her new owner. Also, her service book indicates that she has been well taken care of by her previous owner showing a full service record.
